An Independent Beer Dream
Grey Trees was born out of our love of beer, and we’re pleased as punch to have created some prestigious, award winning ales. But we aren’t about to stop there, and are constantly trying to push things to the next level. We want to develop into something that is more than just a brewery. And that’s why we are proud to introduce to you the Grey Trees National Tap.
As an independent brewer our dream has always been to have our own place, where our beers can be served in a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Somewhere for locals and beer lovers to come and have a perfectly poured pint with us. A place to spend time with old friends, make new ones and enjoy your favourite Grey Trees beer!
The National Tap is located inside part of the Old National School, providing us with the perfect location to deliver our fantastic selection of craft beers on tap. We are also proud to stock some of the finest and most sought after beers from other independent brewers that we love.
Our bar is dog friendly, so you can have a half an Afghan Pale Ale with your Afghan Hound and accompanied children are welcome until 8.30pm. We have a lovely enclosed outdoor seating area that’s open until 9pm, if you want to enjoy your Caradog’s al fresco.
You won’t find your bog standard beers and lagers here, and no big brand names. We want our bar to exclusively serve the beers that we love to drink. And we’re sure that you’ll love them too! A place that stocks bottles and cans from selected craft brewers from right here in Wales, somewhere to sample breweries that aren’t available through regular distribution channels.
We’re also always happy to hear from our customers about what they like. So if there’s a beer you’d like us to try and get hold of, let us know we’ll try our best to seek it out for you.
A bar can’t run on beer alone though (although I’m sure some of you would disagree!), and we also have a wide selection of quality gin, rum, whisky, and vodka behind the bar, whether you want to add a mixer to suit your taste, or sample some of the cocktails we have on our menu. You can also order wine, and for those seeking something non-alcoholic or bringing kids to the bar, we have an exciting range of soft drinks.
If you love our Grey Trees beer so much that you’d like to have a glass of Afghan in the comfort of your own home, we have you covered. The National Tap doubles up as our Bottle Shop, where you can purchase from an extensive range of bottles and cans to take away. You can also purchase gift packs, mini kegs, branded glasses, t-shirts and hoodies, all stamped with our snazzy logo.
